Join the Kwong family, friends and local residents, as the Bridgeland Riverside Community Association dedicates a neighborhood park to the Honourable Normie Kwong, former Riverside resident, CFL player and Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.

The media are invited to attend. There will be a plaque unveiling and a celebratory cake to follow.

BRCA and Dominion YYC have planned an exciting evening for the community on September 12th.
It’s a family night! It’s a date night! It’s a bring your friends night!
Summer Movies in the Park @ Murdoch Park toboggan hill for a double feature movie night.
- 6:00PM – pre-movie kids activities provided by Carya
- 7:00PM – Disney’s Wish (Rated G)
- 9:15PM – Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (Rated PG-13 with strong violence)
We will also have:

BRCA CASINO
Volunteers Needed
It’s that time of year again when we are looking for volunteers for our Casino. This year we will be at Pure Casino on July 9th and 10th.
The shifts we need filled for both days are:
- 11:00AM – 6:30PM: General Manager, Banker, Cashier, Chip Runner
- 5:30PM – 3:30AM: General Manager, Banker, Cashier, Chip Runner
- 11:00PM – 3:30AM: Count Room Staff
No experience is necessary. All positions are straight forward and we have great Casino staff that help us. Lunch or dinner is provided, as well as drinks and snacks throughout the day.
This is a great way to get to know your neighbours while supporting the community association. The funds we raise at the casino go towards things like operating the community hall and purchasing soccer equipment.

Calgary River Valley Engagement
The City of Calgary (The City) is planning for the future of our river valleys, including our flood hazard areas, through the Calgary River Valleys Project. From January 29 to March 3, The City is talking to Calgarians about the future of our floodplain policies and regulations. Calgarians can provide feedback through an online survey, or by attending an in-person drop-in event or a virtual information session. Your input on how we make decisions on the use, conservation and development of our river valleys and communities is important. Visit Calgary.ca/RiverValleys to join in the conversation.
