Reserve the Courtyard Fire Pit

There is no fee for booking the firepit, however any contribution is graciously appreciated. Funds raised through fire pit bookings will go towards building and maintaining the skating rink.

What to Bring
  • Bring enough wood to burn for your booking. Please don’t use trees or other materials from the park in fire pits. This damages trees and disturbs wildlife.
  • Bring water to put out the fire.
  • Bring your own equipment: • Lighters, matches, pokers, etc. • Roasting sticks, • Marshmallows, hot dogs, hot chocolate, etc. • Folding chairs.
  • Alcohol and cannabis Are Not permitted.
Safety
  • Do not burn: • Twigs, fallen branches, pinecones or other materials found in the park • Wood that is painted, treated or contains glue or resin • Wood from a different location, region or province • Elm wood • Wet or green/fresh cut wood • Yard waste (cut grass or leaves) • Garbage • Rubber or plastic • Furniture • Fireworks or other incendiary devices
  • Have a fire safety plan • Pick one person to be in charge of the fire • Have a way to quickly put out the fire if needed • Bring a first aid kit just in case
  • Do not leave the fire unattended
  • Do not allow flames, sparks, or hot items (such as marshmallow sticks) to touch the tables and plastic chairs
  • You must fully extinguish the fire before leaving
  • Use of the fire pit is subject to all fire bans
  • Use the fire pit at your own risk. The Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association is not liable for any injury or damage to personal property.
Courtesy
  • The fire pit must be reserved before use, as it may be booked by another group. Scan the QR code above or visit our website.
  • If you can no longer attend your booking, please cancel so another group has the opportunity to use that time.
  • Clean up all garbage by either placing it in the provided garbage bins, or taking it home – DO NOT leave garbage on the ground, or overflow the bins
  • The community hall is a privately booked facility, reserving the fire pit Does Not include access to the community hall or washrooms.
  • The BRCA community hall is private property. Anyone not being safe, following the rules, creating out of control flames, causing damage to the property, or causing a disturbance to the community will be asked to leave.
