Our Community
Bridgeland-Riverside is an established inner-city community that historically has been, and today still aspires to be, a mixed-use and diverse, riverside neighbourhood with a vibrant atmosphere. Our welcoming community celebrates our heritage, while planning for the future and aspires to continue to be a sustainable, inclusive community that serves the needs of our wide-ranging demographics while maintaining a close-knit, neighbourly culture.
Why Join? What Does the BRCA Do?
Represents Bridgeland-Riverside in city initiatives and development permit applications, traffic. and community safety aspects and invites residents to get involved in issues affecting the community;
Facilitates residents’ learning about and contributing their perspectives on issues affecting the community, and hosts fun and engaging events that bring the community together;
Operates the community hall for community and private use, this website, and multiple social media accounts, sharing information about community happenings and engaging our community online;
Publishes a community newsletter, Bridges, online and in print, that is delivered to 5,600 homes and businesses in Bridgeland-Riverside by mail (11 issues per year);
In collaboration with the City, the BRCA beautifies public spaces for community members to enjoy, all while celebrating the history and heritage of Bridgeland Riverside!
Our community association operates thanks to the effort of Bridgeland-Riverside residents – engaged community volunteers like you. Our efforts focus on making Bridgeland-Riverside a great place to live. We have many initiatives where we:
- Get to know others and have fun
- Participate in the Board and committees to maintain and improve our community
- Learn more about our community
