BRIDGELAND RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

Purpose

The Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association  (BRCA) aims to create a strong and vibrant community that is inclusive and engaged. 

Goals

Focusing on four goals to create, enhance, inspire, and make:

  • Creating opportunities for voices to be heard.
  • Enhancing a sense of belonging, wellness and pride.
  • Inspiring residents to be engaged.
  • Making the association a hub for activity.

Each year, these goals will progress through annual objectives set by the governing board of directors.

Your Volunteer Board

The BRCA Board of Directors are residents who volunteer their time and expertise to serve our great community.  The board prides itself on good governance and oversight, while advancing the directives of our residents.

Here, you can brush up on our bylaws, see who’s chairing our committees, and mark your calendar for upcoming general Board meetings and committee meetings.

 Get to know us

Your Board of Directors encourages you to get involved in the process of building a strong, vibrant, and safe community.

Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month (except August) at 7 pm.

Planning Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 7 pm.

These and other committee meetings usually take place at the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Centre at 917 Centre Avenue NE. Elections are held at the  Annual General Meeting, usually held in April/May.

We are meeting virtually during the pandemic.

The Bylaws, proposed and approved at the April 25, 2017 BRCA Annual General Meeting, have been registered.

The Bylaws of the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association are effective as of date of registration – August 29, 2017.
